THE PROBLEM
Too many people are dying
Everest is experiencing a surge in climber, guide, and sherpa fatalities as climate change and over tourism only ratchet up the risk.
As digital solutions become increasingly accessible, they are sparsely adopted to mitigate risk in mountaineering.
Our analysis of the Himalayan Database suggests as many as 36% of deaths on Everest could have been prevented with technology.
Another 49% of deaths were from causes that could have been better managed with the help of digital solutions.
So let's to do something about it.
